An independent skiing and snowboarding game prototype using the existing map.trav.gg Lake Louise terrain and source linework. This is a fictional day of riding: snow, grooming, physics, lift speeds and access are simulated. The original source mountain supplies terrain geometry, tree placements and models, Glacier lift infrastructure and the surrounding buildings. Game terrain and routes are not navigation information.
Map data: OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the Open Database Licence. The extracted, attributed game linework is available as mountain.json.
Terrain is derived from the existing NRCan MRDEM-30 / Copernicus source mountain model, with approximately 30 m source detail. Contains information licensed under the Open Government Licence – Canada. The source terrain materials, canopy, mountain backdrop and colour treatment are reused for WebGL. Close snow grain is illustrative shading; source terrain does not contain centimetre-scale powder geometry.
Asset provenance: terrain and forest manifest, infrastructure manifest. The game loads detail around the rider and ahead of travel. Browsers without WebGL use source imagery and atlas trees with simpler lighting. Source colour treatment retains its OpenColorIO/AgX notice.
Rendered with Three.js (MIT). Interface fonts: DM Sans and Newsreader, via Google Fonts. No affiliation with or endorsement by the resort is implied.
